Last week I was privileged to be one of the few people on stage at the LeWeb conference in Paris, and I gave an Ignite presentation about The Future Way of Working: The Distributed Company. I go into more depth on how Auttomatic works in this post from earlier in the year.
If you’ve never given a presentation in the Ignite format: 5 minutes, 20 slides, 15 seconds each (read more about the Ignite format on O’Reilly’s website), I strongly urge you to – it will challenge you as a presenter and force you to be very succinct and practice quite a bit to stay with the timing. I’ve presented several Ignites in Italian this year, but this was the first one in English.
Here’s the video of my presentation:
Here are the slides of my presentation:

Posted by Melanie (@sfgirl) | December 14, 2011, 5:25 pmExcellent… I work from home, I have now for several years, and like you say, there are times that I am more Productive, the early morning, and late at night being some of my most Productive times
Thanks for the Exposure, it’s good to see the Working Environment Changing on a Global Scale

Very interesting presentation, Sara!

Posted by Nishant Patel | December 14, 2011, 11:26 pmI finally got the chance to see your Ignite talk that I missed last month at LeWeb. (For others reading this: LeWeb conference = too much in parallel + too little time.) Well done! I didn’t know your topic was a concept I have long espoused — from distributed grad studies & scientific research, to now a distributed startup…
